The present study provides an overview of the conservation of PAs in Togo on several aspects grouped into five main components: (i) Assessment of the adequacy of the legal and institutional framework of the PA system with regard to conservation issues; (ii) Socio-economic diagnosis of the PA system in terms of conservation issues in view of conservation issues, and of the improvement of the living conditions of local populations; (iii) Evaluation of the national PA system in terms of the conservation of ecosystems, of biodiversity and the promotion of ecotourism; (iv) study of land use and cartographic dynamics of protected areas in Togo; and (v) Analysis of the ecological vulnerability of protected areas in Togo to climate change.
