PROSPECTIVE DIAGNOSIS OF THE PRIORITY CONSERVATION LANDSCAPE OF MONO VOLTA (TOGO)
The mangrove ecosystems located in the Mono Transboundary Biosphere Reserve constitute a natural heritage of great value due to their multiple biological, ecological, social and economic functions. They are ecosystems that are highly productive in plant and animal resources, which encourages their exploitation. This exploitation is one of the main sources of income for most of the coastal populations. Wood, fish and crabs are the main products exploited and traded from mangroves. As a result, mangroves receive particular attention for decision-makers, researchers, civil society, local communities, development partners, etc.
