The process of preparing the national REDD+ strategy was analytical, innovative and participatory by involving all stakeholders and ensuring that transversal aspects, including gender, were taken into account in the diagnosis of the current situation and the choice of strategic options, as well as the operational mechanisms for implementing the programmed actions. The preparation of this strategy is conducted by the National REDD+ Coordination and the National Working Group through sectoral thematic groups, with the support of a national consultant, specialist in strategic planning and is based on two levels of analysis results, namely: (i) the contributions of the REDD+ sectoral thematic groups established as part of this process; and (ii) analytical studies conducted by national and international consultants.
