As part of the migration of the CHM-Togo site from the PTK format to the more sustainable and reliable “Bioland” format funded by the Royal Institute of Natural Sciences through the CEBIOS program, capacity building sessions were organized from 20 to 21 July 2023 on capacity building sessions on the transfer of data from the old site to the new site in Bioland version. A total of ten contributors were trained for this exercise.

On July 24, 25, 26 and 27, 2023, the trained contributors began to transfer data from the old site in PTK format to the new site in the “Bioland” format.

Data transfer continued from 02 to 08 August 2023 in the city of Mango, the capitals of the Kara and Centrale regions as well as in the cities of Kpalimé and Lomé, respectively on 3, 4, 5, 5, 5, 5, 7 and 8 August 2023.

Key actors involved in the conservation of biological diversity, such as local authorities, civil society organizations and state institutions from each region of Togo, took part in these awareness-raising and training sessions.

The transfer sessions were preceded in each city and regional capital by awareness-raising sessions focused on the conservation and protection of biological diversity and on the presentation of the CHM-Togo. Flyers, posters, T-shirts and other awareness-raising materials were distributed for this purpose.
