On Saturday, August 05, 2023, an awareness-raising workshop was held in the meeting room of the Lamirel Hotel in Sokodé from 9 am, as part of the implementation of the project to transfer information from the CHM-Togo (PTK) site to the new tool “Bioland” and to raise awareness among key actors on the importance of CHM-Togo (PTK) site to the new tool “Bioland” and to raise awareness among key actors on the importance of CHM-Togo. This session was attended by ten participants, namely the representative of the Regional Director of the Environment of the power plant, the Prefectural Director of the Environment, the Secretary General of the prefecture of Tchaoudjo, representing the prefect, the first deputy mayor representing the Mayor of the town of Tchaoudjo 1, a municipal councilor of the said municipality and Civil Society Organizations, including two women.

At the outset, Dr. Eric AGBESSI, CHM-Togo contact point, welcomed the participants while recalling the framework of the meeting and specified the agenda, relating to the presentation of CHM-Togo and the transfer of data from the old site to the new one.

In order to get to know each other better, the participants day by day declined their identity and their institution of origin before giving the floor again to Doctor AGBESSI to present the CHM-Togo, a platform for exchanging information under the Convention on Biodiversity, reminding us of its roles and missions.

The practical phase was devoted to the exercise of transferring data from the CHM-Togo (PTK) site to the new “bioland” tool.

Indeed, data and information were uploaded in various formats (videos, documents, images...) from the old site to the new one. Each actor engaged in this practical exercise that allowed them to appropriate this new tool.

After verifying the data transferred to the new site, the workshop ended around 17:30 with a note of satisfaction. The CHM-Togo Contact Point, Dr. AGBESSI did not fail to urge the participation in numerous quality contritions.
