SIXTH NATIONAL REPORT ON BIOLOGICAL DIVERSITY IN TOGO
Article 26 of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) requires parties to submit periodic national reports. These reports describe the actions that parties are taking to implement the Convention and the effectiveness of these measures in achieving the goals of the CBD.
The Sixth National Report (6NR) also provides an opportunity for Parties to review the progress made in implementing the Convention at the national level, including progress in implementing their National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan (NBSAPs) with the national biodiversity targets, the achievement of the Aichi Biodiversity Targets, and the implementation of the Strategic Plan for Biodiversity 2011-2020. Data from the 6RN will also be used for the preparation of the fifth edition of the Global Biodiversity Outlook and will provide data for the final review of the implementation of the strategic plan, which will be undertaken at the 15th COP in 2020.
